In this section, we will learn how to fill out the Andrell Education Big Write template for use in SPAstandard.

Step 1

 Download the Andrell Education Big Write template.

Step 1: Download the Running Records template.


Step 2

Open the template:

Open the downloaded template, making sure to click "Enable Macros" when opening the file.

Step 3

Click on the Input Cold/Warm Write Progression Scores.

Step 4: Fill out all of the information in Column A-F

Fill or paste in all the information in Columns A-H. Next, input scores into the data columns I-R. Only input scores where applicable. If the student has not completed all test periods yet, it's okay to leave some columns blank.

Step 4: Fill out all of the information in Column A-F

For each student, enter the:

  1. Calendar Year
  2. Year Level
  3. Surname
  4. First Name
  5. Student ID
  6. Gender
  7. Class
  8. Scores for the time periods the student has engaged in a writing assessment.

Please Note: we have pre-filled the Writing Genre into the template based on Andrell Education recommendations. You can leave these genre labels in the file, even when you have not conducted the test for that period yet. If you have lots of students within the file, you may need to fill down the genre labels for additional students.

Step 5

Save the file:

Once you have entered all the results into the template, you are now ready to save the file to your computer.

Step 6

Import these files into your SPAstandard account.
