On this page, we will provide instructions on how to export ACER test data from the OARS Global Explorer.

Export the following PAT Data using these instructions:

  • PAT-R Adaptive
  • PAT-M Adaptive
  • PAT-Spelling Skills
  • PAT-Science (1st & 2nd Editions)
  • AGAT (1st & 2nd Editions)

If you are looking to import other PAT data that is not part of ACER's Global Explorer, (e.g., PAT Maths 4th Ed, PAT Reading 5th Ed, PAT-Spelling, etc..) please see our manual PAT ACER OARS ONLINE (Test Booklets)

Step 1

Log in to your ACER OARS account.

You first need to log in to your OARS account from the ACER website. If you have a link saved to your favorites, you can go directly there.

If not, then you can follow this link https://oars.acer.edu.au/clients/search and search for your school. Search for your school name and click the link to be taken to the login screen.

Step 2

 Once you have logged in, you will be taken to this screen. From here, click the Reports button.

Step 3

Select the test you would like to export.

Step 4

Select PAT Data Explorer.

Step 5

Select report constraints:

  1. Reporting window: (semester or whole school year)
  2. Reporting window: (calendar year)
  3. Learning area: (PAT Reading or PAT Maths)
  4. Report type: Achievement

Step 6

  1. Click the Export button.
  2. Choose to export "Table as Excel".

Step 7

Name the file:

Open the location on your computer where the file was exported and rename the file.  We recommend something like "2020 PatM Adaptive Sem 2".

Step 8

If you need to export more data, repeat steps 6-7.

Step 9

Before loading the file to the SPAplatfrom we need to label the file.
Open the file and insert a row at the top of the sheet. (You should now have one blank row at the top of the file)
In cell A1 you will need to enter the code below to identify the file.

PATMX = PAT Maths - Adaptive

PATRX = PAT Reading - Adaptive

PATSC1X = PAT Science 1st Edition

PATSC2X = PAT Science 2nd Edition

PATSSX = PAT Spelling Skills

AGAT1ST=AGAT (1st Edition)

AGAT2ND=AGAT (2nd Edition)

For example, a Pat Reading file, Cell A1 would contain the text PATRX

Save the file and it is ready to upload.

Step 10

Import these files into your SPAplatform account.
