In this section, we will learn how to fill out the Writing Moderation template for use in SPAstandard.

Step 1

 Download the Moderated Writing Template


Step 2

Open the template:

 

Once opened it should look like this.

 

Step 3

Fill or paste in all the information in Columns A-H. Next, input scores into the data columns I-T. Only input scores where applicable. If the student has not completed all test periods yet, it's okay to leave some columns blank.

In Column H, most schools will enter the text 'School Moderated Writing' unless you would like to label it more specifically with a writing program name. (eg-'Talk-4-Writing Moderation')

The task' fields (Columns I, L, O, R) are designed for you to store the genre of writing that students were marked on. 


For each student, enter the:

  1. Calendar Year
  2. Year Level
  3. Surname
  4. First Name
  5. Student ID
  6. Gender
  7. Class
  8. Scores for the time periods the student has engaged in a writing assessment.

Step 5

Save the file:

Once you have entered all the results into the template, you are now ready to save the file to your computer.

Step 6

Import these files into your SPAstandard account.
